A bus belonging to Link company ltd this morning overturned at Kasese-Mbarara road, leaving at least 18 people seriously injured.
The accident happened at 08:00 am when a bus, registration number UAW 354V which was heading to Kampala overturned at Kikorongo trading centre in Kasese District.
Authorities said the victims were rushed to Kilembe and Kagando Hospitals respectively,where they are currently receiving treatment.
The Rwenzori East regional police spokesperson said they are still investigating the cause of the accident. The unknown driver is reportedly on the run.
Police has advised all road users to always be cautious when travelling.
