As the 2021 general elections looms nearer, the country has started witnessing cases of foul play, after presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine, who is also the Kyadondo East legislator, claimed that his Ghetto TV, an online TV station, has been hacked by state operatives, who have since taken over control of it’s Facebook page.
According to Bobi Wine, the said State Operatives hacked into his Ghetto TV station over the weekend and they have since taken over control of the same.
Bobi Wine wrote thus on social media about the whole saga; “CRIME ALERT: Regime operatives have tried so many times to capture my Facebook account and take hold of it, but they have not yet succeeded.
Today, the criminal regime has succeeded in hacking into, and taking hold of the Ghetto TV page. They have removed all administrators to the page and right now it’s under their control. A shameful, shameful regime.”
He added thus; “They are scared by the live broadcasts which Ghetto TV has been doing about all our activities. They talk of a scientific election, yet can’t even stand a Facebook page!
As our teams try to do everything to regain control of the page, ignore any propaganda that may be posted there.
The evidence is all over that the regime has never been as panicky as it is now. LET US JUST INCREASE THE PRESSURE AND THEY WILL BE NO MORE.”
However, some elements within People Power pressure group suspect that the hacking might have been masterminded by deserter Ashburg Kato, who defected from Bobi Wine’s camp to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) yet he was one of the people running Ghetto TV some time back and had Log-in access to the same.
