2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Uganda Team Beefed Up With Three More Hot Players From Lady Doves FC

Kampala: The Uganda U20 Women’s National Football Team has been beefed up with the arrival of three players from Lady Doves FC.

Goalkeeper Daphine Nyayenga, defender Halima Kanyago and forward Joweria Nagadya joined the rest of the team on Saturday at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The aforementioned players were part of Lady Doves that featured at the just concluded CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers in Nairobi, Kenya.

Lady Doves FC settled for third place, defeating Tanzania’s Simba Queens 2-1 on Thursday and taking home a cash prize of $10,000.

The arrival of the trio means it is full house in camp with all the 30 players summoned by Head coach Ayub Khalifan.

The Uganda U20 Women’s National Team is preparing to face Kenya in the first round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Uganda will play Kenya in Nairobi between 23rd – 25th, September 2021 while the return leg in Kampala will be played between 7th -9th October 2021.
