Uganda’s Ambassador To Iran Tezikuba Kisambira Dies

Uganda’s ambassador to Iran Hajji Muhammad Kisambira has died after a long illness-TheSpy Uganda has learnt.

According to Foreign Affairs state minister Henry Okello Oryem, Kisambira died on Thursday (August 3) in a hospital in Tehran, Iran.

“Yes, Ambassador Kisambira has died. Our team is working around the clock to repatriate his body early next week,” he said.

Reports have it that Kisambira has been battling cancer for the last two years which is suspected to have killed him although he was also battling diabetes.

Ambasadorial Role 

Kisambira was appointed Uganda’s ambassador to Iran by President Yoweri Museveni in December 2021.

His appointment that surprised many found him in retirement, after serving the Muslim community for decades. He helped to form a parallel Muslim administration based in Kibuli.
