Entebbe Airport Police Arrests Malian With Shs 1.7 Billion Cocaine

Airport police together with other security agencies arrested a Malian nationalist with 7kg of cocaine worthy Approx.UGX 1.7b in his house and other drugs which he was trying to take to Russia.

Police surrounded the building in Namasuba called Bamako Arcade near freedom and they arrested Idrissa Traore from Mali who was hiding in the building parking the said illegal drugs in different bags with 7kg of cocaine. It’s believed that he got the cocaine from Tanzania into Uganda.

Police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan area ASP Luke Owesigyire confirmed the arrest of Idrissa with cocaine. Luke added that they got a call from Burundi and Tanzania that they arrested one Musa Fofona who mentioned Idrissa that he is their boss and is hiding in Uganda. “Police used Idrissa’s number to track him until they arrested him”. Last two weeks police arrested a Rwandan lady one Beatrice Isaro with cocaine worthy 397m. Last month still, airport police arrested Allen Nankanja with Cocaine worthy 875m from Brazil.

Recently Kaihura came out and promised Ugandans that he’s going to create a new unit with in police which is going to fight drugs at the airport because many security operatives are working with these drug traffickers.
