Kampala: President Museveni has appointed events promoter, Balaam Barugahara as state minister for Gender, Labour and social development in charge of youth in the latest cabinet reshuffle.
In the latest reshuffle, government big wigs who have retained their postions include; Jesca Alupo as Vice President, Robinah Nabbanja as Prime Minister, Rebecca Kadaga, Moses Ali, and Lukia Isanga Nakadama as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Deputy Prime Ministers, respectively.
Additionally, the President has retained First Lady, Janet Kataha Museveni as Minister of Education and sports, Gen Jim Muhwezi as Minister for Security, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda as Minister for Kampala.
The others retained in the cabinet include, Norbert Mao as Minister for Constitutional Affairs, Kilyowa Kiwanuka as Attorney General, Matia Kasaija as Minister of Finance, Justine Lumuma Kasule as Minister for General Duties- Office of the Prime Minister, Hamson Obua as Government Chief Whip, Frank Tumwebaze as Minister of Agriculture, Ruth Nankabirwa as Minster for Energy and Mineral development, Jeje Odongo as Minister for Foreign Affairs, among others.
The latest reshuffle has seen Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Mary Goretti Kitutu replaced by Peter Lokeris while Agnes Nandutu has also been dropped.
