Kampala: Charles Twiine, who formerly worked as spokesperson of the Criminal Intelligence Directorate under Uganda Police Force has expressed profound gratitude and admiration for outgoing police spokesperson, Fred Enanga who was transferred from the office of public relations to the Directorate of Interpol and International Relations, as a Deputy Director.
Enanga has since been replaced by ACP Rusoke Kituuma as new police spokesperson, a role he has held for last five years.
Expressing his gratitude, Twiine described Enanga as a legendary PRO who has executed the assignment skilfully and with a professional touch which he says have significantly enhanced the reputation of Uganda police and fostered a culture of trust especially from the media.
”During your tenure, you indeed have been a de facto voice of our great UPF, a responsibility you have actually executed skilfully. Your calmness, benevolence comprehension, perspicacity and knowledge about the operations of UPF and indeed its mandate, have helped in building the bridges with the members of Public (Art.212 (d), Art. 17(f)) either deliberately or unwittingly. Twiine said in his message to Enanga.
Your indestructible use of language, creativity, and passion for people centered Police Service, has significantly enhanced the Uganda Police Force’s reputation, and fostered a culture of trust especially from the voice of the voiceless (The indomitable media fraternity) both electronic and print” he added.
Twiine further commendd Enanga for his conscientiousness, tenacity, and commitment to excellence, which have brought the police closer to the people through proficient communication.
”As you embark on another tour of duty, I wish you boundless and inexhaustible success, continued career growth (gap is still there) and indeed fulfilment. May your future endeavours be blessed with prosperity, and may your legacy, synergize all the efforts and skills you had implanted in your mentees, continue to inspire us and the rest of the entire society, as we strive to PROTECT AND SERVE people with the ultimate desire to make Uganda a crime free society” Twiine further noted.
Meanwhile, Enanga has also congratulated and welcomed his predecessor, ACP Rusoke Kituma, whom he said is “a fire brain and performer” further reminding him about immense tasks and responsibilities which requires great dedication.
”I also want to congratulate the new Police Spokesperson, ACP Rusoke Kituma, I say this as I welcome you; “You are a fire brain and performer, keep doing what you are doing”. I also want to remind you about the immense responsibility ahead. You are taking on a tough task that requires great dedication. Always act with integrity, and treat every member of the public with respect and compassion”. Enanga said in his message.
“To the general public, thank you, for your insights, criticisms and feedback that have always been refreshing. Remember, Public safety is everyone’s priority and I urge you all to remain committed, to working with the police in addressing all crime and safety concerns, within your communities.” he added.
