Kampala: For the first time in the history of Buganda and Uganda at large, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is set to appear at a music concert. Our Spies have learnt that if all goes as planned, the Buganda Monarch is slated to make a graceful appearance at popular singer Mesach Ssemakula’s concert this year. Ssemakula is set to hold a massive music concert on June 01st ,2019 Which will be held at Zebra Spot in Kira.
However, our Spies at Mengo reveal that the guest of honour at the concert will be none other than the Kabaka himself. While appearing on a local TV station last night, Ssemakula, a member of the Golden Band, also confirmed this development by revealing that the Omutanda had accepted to make an appearance at the concert. It should be noted that Ssemakula was one of the few musicians who were recently knighted by Kabaka Mutebi in recognition of his great contribution to the development of Buganda kingdom and Luganda language. However, if the Monarch appears at Ssemakula’s concert then it will be a very memorable event, because the Kabaka has never showed up at music concert in Uganda. It is usually his prime minister Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga who goes for such public events.
