Nansana: The Police in Kampala are hunting for a gang of armed robbers that shot dead three people at Cheap Hardware in Nansana, Kampala, before fleeing with an unspecified amount of money.
The gruesome robbery happened Wednesday afternoon when the ruthless robbers, who were riding on four motorcycles, stormed the Hardware store, put the workers and manager on gunpoint, before demanding for money. It is said however that as they fled, three people who were workers at the hardware tried to intercept the robbers, which prompted them to open fire, killing the three on spot.
According to eye witnesses, the masked thugs first cordoned off the Hardware shop before opening fire at employees who were offloading cement from a truck killing four of them. Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango has confirmed the tragedy, revealing that police detectives are already investigating the matter as they hunt for the armed robbers. He noted that one of the deceased was the manager of the hardware although their identified are yet to be established. We shall bring you more details about this developing story.
