Sheema: Sheema Police Station is having four thugs alleged to have been sponsoring the massive killing of bodaboda cyclists in Sheema district.
According to Martial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, on 19th and 20th July 2019, CID and Police landed on four thieves alleged to have an upper hand in the massive killings of bodaboda cyclists in Sheema and surrounding districts.
The alleged criminals are Christopher Benywanira alias Brown Mark 29 years from Kiruhura District, Ssenyonjo Mike 28years from Mateete Sembabule District, Amutuhaire Jordan 27 years from Lyantonde and Matovu Abbas from Makindye – Kampala.
Sp. Martial said, Police got information from the suspects they already have in prisons who narrated on how they have been sponsored by the above.
“Its prisoners we have in Nyamushekyera prison who told us that they have their bosses who sponsor their acts of killing and stealing motorcycles from Sheema District, these suspects or prisoners helped us in directions and contacts of their sponsors until we landed on them both in Masaka and Lyantonde Districts. After arresting them we decided to imprison them from Sheema since most cases are from there. They will be charged with cases of aggravated robbery and are probably to appear in Court next week,” Martial said.

suspects, Cases of bodaboda theft and deaths reduced
“Ever since we arrested these four people, we haven’t received any case
relating to Bodaboda stealing which means they might be the real suspects
behind Sheema insecurity.
“This boy Amutuhaire Jordan was seen with late Agaba Andrew in evening hours
at big zone bar Kabwohe town, and it is on that fateful day Andrew got missing
and later found killed,” Sheema Police
Benjamin Ahereza a bodaboda cyclist in Kabwohe town advised police to immediately kill all the suspects they have in prisons accused of bodaboda stealing and murdering fellows owners.
From November last year up to date stealing and murdering of Bodaboda
cyclists in Sheema has been high that put security team on pressure.
over 50 motorcycles were stolen from Kabwohe town this year and more
than 7 bodaboda cyclists have been killed in this year. Every month a
bodaboda cyclist from Sheema District has been killed.
