Mukono: Untold fear has gripped the family of a city lawyer identified as James Mulira, who was reportedly abducted by armed plain clothed men on Monday morning from Mukono town.
SpyUganda has established from his family members that Mulira, a lawyer working with M/s Kintu & Co. Advocates in MuKono, was picked from his office located on Biira House, opposite the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) offices at 11:00Am by unknown men, who were armed with guns.
His wife Nankabirwa Catherine, all relatives and friends are now in worry because police and other security Agencies contacted so far deny having him in their custody.
Family members and friends say, men who abducted Mulira did not identify themselves as operatives working with any security organisation in Uganda or produce any arrest warrant. These further didn’t reveal to his fellow workmates why he was being arrested.
It is said that they just entered, put him on
gunpoint, before dragging him out of his office and until now his whereabouts
are unknown.
Efforts by family members and workmates to look for
him in all police stations and posts around Mukono district have been
fruitless.
Mulira’s
family has since reported a case of a missing person at Mukono police and
detectives have already joined the hunt for him.
