Fort Portal: All is not well within Tooro Province Football Club, after its managers reportedly failed to account for a whooping Shs100m.
A recent audit conducted by Francis Barozi Kalyebara of BFKK Associates for the period of February 2018 to July 2019 indicates that whereas Management spent Shs122, 133,100m, they can only show accountability for Shs20,128,500, leaving the Shs102m unaccounted for.
Among other things, the audit also observed that Tooro Province is operating on a Constitution that is not approved by the executive members and which is not clearly linked to its operations. Because of this, Operations regarding financial management are not even handled following the provisions highlighted within the existing constitution. There are no payment vouchers to support all the payments done. There are no approved requisitions to support any funds spent. There are no suppliers’ contracts for supplies made during the period. There are no acknowledgements for funds paid out for activities for those who could neithr issue invoices or receipts. Players allowances lacked payment schedules and there are incomplete receipts from some service providers like the Pavilion Bar. The audit also revealed that there is no approved operating for activities.

MP Alex Ruhunda as patron, Hon. Benard Tungwako as chairman, Michael Wandera as Vice Chairman, Samuel Turyomuriwe as Secretary, Georger Nyamutare as Treasurer, Herbert Mugisa as Team Manager, among others.
