Kampala: Sports Club Vipers have signed former Proline FC foward Fahad Bayo Aziz on a two year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Bayo put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Kitende until 2021 on Wednesday and became the seventh signing for the Venoms.
The forward who can play wide and centre, will add an extra dimension to the existing attacking options at the Kitende based outfit.
Bayo joined Buildcon FC of Zambia in January 2018 from Proline and has since then been argubly the best performing Ugandan in the FAZ/Zambian Premier League.
He led Buildcon to their first ever CAF Confederation Cup Qualification at the end of the concluded season with five goals and seven assists.
Bayo burst to the scene in the 2015-16 season after scoring 16 goals and successfully guided Proline to a top-flight promotion from the Big League.
He also played for Friends Soccer Academy in Lugazi and was instrumental in Ssingo’s first ever triumph in the Masaza Cup in 2015.
He won the National Post Primary Schools tournament with Kibuli SS in 2014 and was top scorer of the same competition a year later in Hoima with 14 goals.
In March last year, Bayo who has two international caps, made his debut on the national team The Cranes as Uganda was facing Sao Tome and Principe at Namboole.
Vipers have so far signed Shaban Muhammad, Denis Mwemezi, Henry Kitagenyi (from Kansai Plascon) and Allan Kayiwa as other new offensive options.
The Venoms under the tutelage of Edward Golola and Richard Wasswa will be aiming for their fourth league title this season.
