Heavy K’la Traffic Jam Forces Tycoon Sudhir To Jump On Boda-boda

The endless heavy traffic jam in Kampala Central Business District is not sparing anyone,be it rich or poor.

Everyone who travels by car feels the pinch of the jam and the latest prominent Ugandan to suffer the jam stress is money bags Dr Sudhir Ruparelia.

Our Spy reveals that Sudhir, the proprietor of Ruparelia Group of Companies, is so perplexed by the heavy jam that these days he has resorted to riding on Boda-bodas so as to reach his office located on Crane Chambers along K’la road in time or beat other deadlines.

Sudhir, who was clad in white attire, was snapped on Wednesday along Jinja Road seriously riding on a Boda-boda so as to beat traffic jam in the city and arrive at his office early for business in time.

Our spy eves dropped that the money bags ruched on boda to office to catch up with a multi billion deal video conferencing meeting with his other prospective business partners abroad,and it couldn’t be delayed by even a single minute,our spy has learnt. “International engagements are scheduled with strict adherence to time,even the meeting is given duration upon which it should end,very different from our traditions here [back home], so dad is very disciplined when it comes to time management and he knows its importance” Rajiv Ruparelia, the managing director Ruparelia group who is also gis son told this reporter on phone last night.

The Tycoon is known for cruising around town in a convoy of sleek Range Rovers but this time round he abandoned his posh vehicles and opted to jump on the Boda-boda all in the name of beating traffic jam to seal that business deal.

According to a 2017 World Bank study, traffic jams are costing Uganda over US$800m (over Shs2.8 trillion) in lost Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually.
