Sheema: The outgoing Church of Uganda Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, was on Saturday September 28 evening welcomed as a super hero in a convoy from borders of West Ankore Diocese at Kooga in Sheema District up to Bweranyangi in Bushenyi District.
The convoy led by West Ankore Diocese, Bishop Twinomujuni Johnson, Reverends, Political leaders and Over 500 Christians surprised the Archbishop after finding them on waiting at Kooga Swamp which is the boarder of Ankore and West Ankore.
Ntagali revealed his happiness after reaching in West Ankore Diocese by thanking Christians for the harmony, peace, love and unity amongst Christians.
“This isn’t the West Ankore Diocese of old days, I’m dearly happy for the great love you have showed me and the unity amongst yourselves.” Ntagali said.
Archbishop Ntagali has on Sunday graced his farewell service as the Church of Uganda Archbishop prepared by West Ankore Diocese.
This farewell follows the appointment of the new Archbishop of the Church of Ugana Rt. Rev Kazimba Mugalu of Mityana Diocese.
It should be remembered that Seven years ago, stakeholders of West Ankore Diocese dragged archbishop Ntagali to courts of law accusing him of not appointing a new Bishop after the departure of Bishop emeritus, Rt Rev Katoneene Yona.
