Renowned lawyer Joseph Bbosa,the former Vice President of the Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) party is no more, after breathing his last on Monday night.
Spy Uganda can confirm that Bbosa, who was city lawyer David Mpanga’s partner and also formerly director legal at Bank of Uganda, passed away at a hospital in Hague, Netherlands, where he had been bedridden for a long time.
“Dear colleagues, I bring you the sad news of the passing of my husband Joseph Fred Bossa in the Netherlands. Burial arrangements will be communicated later. May his soul rest in peace,” his widow Justice Solome announced this morning.
Although the actual cause of his death is yet to be revealed by his family members, we have learnt that Bbosa had been battling cancer for years.
Bbosa left Uganda a few years ago after falling out with UPC president Jimmy Akena, the Lira municipality Member of Parliament.
He was later replaced with Peter Walubiri as UPC vice president.
Bbosa is survived by a widow Justice Salome Balungi Bbosa, of the International Criminal Court Division and children. Burial arrangements for his remains will be communicated in our subsequent reports. RIP.
