After Uganda Cranes paid a visit to the Ethiopian national team at Bahir Dar National stadium and secured a 0-1 win, the Team on Tuesday October 15, 2019 entered day three of non-residential training at Lugogo StarTimes Stadium.
Cranes interim Coach Abudallah Mubiru organized a two hour session for training and testing players via various paces for agility, space awareness, transitional play, passing, crossing, dribbling and creating scoring opportunities.
The coach also invited players including Allan Kayiwa of Vipers FC and 27-year-old Kirizestom Ntambi of Wakiso Giants FC to combine forces so as to win Ethiopia in the return leg of the International friendly, which will be held in Ethiopia too.
The Cranes on Tuesday had a double session in the morning and afternoon and the training routine will continue throughout the week until match-day which is scheduled on October 19, 2019.
The coach revealed that all is set to defeat Ethiopia in the coming match since most of players are back home and all showing a positive response towards training and the match.
“We are fortunate enough that all players have reported including those who had traveled with the senior team to Ethiopia for the friendly like Ntambi and Kayiwa. Everyone is working hard and they’re positive towards our training.” Mubiru said.
