These wanted to plant trees and crops on the road but were blocked by Natete police as they ran off chanting “Justice, Justice”, “We want tarmac road and if the processes are delaying, we want to see some road maintenance so that we can continue using the road as we wait for tarmac, and if not then the road shall not be opened because it is too bad” Demonstrators vowed.

State of the road

Ivan Kakembo said, “this place should be isolated or worked upon. The road is arguably the busiest of all Kampala suburb roads but the worrying conditions on it are always given a deaf ear. To be true to ourselves, the road has outlived its usefulness because no weather conditions are favourable along with it. It’s just a social nuisance that the concerned authorities seem to be less pensive about”.
