Entebbe: Bysiness came to a standstill at Entebbe International Airport on Tuesday afternoon as fans from all over the world welcomed back celebrated singer Edirisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo from his music tour in the USA.
Kenzo, who recently won the African Entertainment Award USA landed at Entebbe Airport in the afternoon, where a crowd of his supporters had been waiting for him since morning.
Categories of people who waited him included fellow artistes, Boda-boda riders, youth and all people who enjoy his music.
Our Spy reveals that a bitter scuffle ensued when the police at Entebbe Airport tried to push boda-boda riders and other Kenzo’s fans out of the facility so as not to disrupt business, which resulted into some people sustaining injuries.
Following the scuffle, the police impounded over 30 motorcycles which were later towed to Entebbe Police Station.
Later Eddy Kenzo was seen in his Range Rover waving to his fans while veiling his head with the Uganda flag.
But due to the huge crowd of his fans, again police had to fight so hard to clear the way for Kenzo’s vehicle and his convoy.
He was later was driven from the airport heading to Kampala, although some of his fans said he was first going to Kibuli Mosque to meet some elderly clerics there to seek their wisdom about Sheikh Nuhu Muzata’s insults and comments he uttered while Kenzo was still abroad.
However, thousands of Kenzo’s fans who had thronged Entebbe Airport caused heavy traffic jam along Entebbe Road as they drove him to Kampala is a big convoy.
