Kampala: The Kabaka of Buganda kingdom HRH Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has reshuffled his ‘old guards’ and appointed new Board of Directors for Central Broadcasting Services (CBS) radio, which is owned by the Mengo Establishment.
This was revealed in a letter issued by the Katikiro of Buganda premier Charles Peter Mayiga, on Tuesday October 29, 2019, in which he unveiled the names of those appointed by the Kabaka on the new CBS FM BOD.
The new BOD, which is commencing their duties effective after appointment, is composed of the following people;
Omuk. Mathias Katamba is the ChairmanOmuk. David Balaka is the Vice-Chairman
Omuk. John W. Katende is a Member
Owek. Eng. Hubert Kibuuka .R is a Member
Owek. John Fred Kiyimba is a Member
Omuk. Mansoor Bunnya is a Member
Omukyala Solome Nasejje Luyombo is a Member
Omuk. Michael Kawooya Mwebe is the CBS Managing Director and was appointed the BOD Secretary.
Katikiro Mayiga also noted that three other BOD members will be appointed from individual shareholders, to work hand in hand with those appointed by the Kabaka.
The new BOD now replaces the old one which was formerly chaired by fallen tycoon Owek. Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma, who passed away a few months back.
