Several people sustained injuries on Thursday morning after a Sino Truck that was loaded with gravel lost control and rammed into 9 cars along the Naalya-Kiwatule Road.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reveal that the cars the truck knocked include a Toyota Wish, a Rav4, a commuter taxi, among others.
Traffic police were called to the scene shortly after the accident and have since kicked off investigations into what could have caused the accident.
But preliminary investigations indicate that the truck was in dangerous mechanical condition, and the driver, plus his turn boy, fled shortly after the accident.
By the time of filing this story the police had not yet established whether some people had died or not.
However, efforts to identify the injured and hunt for the truck driver are already underway as investigations continue.
The injured have since been rushed to Mulago and nearby health facilities for first aid and medical attention.
