President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, has today passed out 321 Tank Crews under the Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) armoured brigade.
Spy Uganda understands that in line with the professionalisation of UPDF, president Museveni presided over the passing out of 321 tank crews after completing Amour Basic Crews Course.
The crews which comprise of tanks and motorised infantry vehicles, Mambas and Buffalos were equipped with armoured vehicle combat tactics at the Armoured Warfare Training School in Karama, Mubende .
“I want to congratulate you for completing this course and for doing it well,I was watching the accuracy of different guns,” Museveni told the successful officers while passing them out today.
Over 300 Tank crews from all UPDF units graduated in Amour Basic Crews after undergoing training for a one year Course.
