Earlier today, TheSpy Uganda revealed how Dfcu Bank had finally swallowed their pride and ‘evicted’ themselves from tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s building along Kampala Road called Crane Chambers, after court ruled that they were illegally occupying them and that they belonged to Meera Investments limited, which Crane Bank was leasing at the time dfcu controversially bought it from Bank of Uganda.
Well, the latest we have is that after evicting themselves from the Kampala Road based building, dfcu Bank have rolled out a country wide operation code named ‘LEAVE SUDHIR IN PEACE’ in which they’ve peaceful accepted to exit several other Sudhir’s properties to avoid heavy penalities that were awaiting for their illegal occupancy.
According to our Spies at dfcu, the Bank is set to exit Sudhir properties in the following areas by close of business on Monday 3rd Feb 2020; Abayita Ababiri Branch, Arua, Hoima, Jinja Town, Ibanda Town, Kampala Road, Kikuubo and Kireka Branches.
Others are Kyengera, Luwum Street, Lyantonde, Mbarara, Ntinda, Soroti and Kampala’s 5th Street Branches.
It should be noted that dfcu bank has for long been illegally occupying 48 properties belonging to Meera Investments Limited. After successfully vacating Kampala Road Branch, the Bank managers have now rolled out a country wide plan to relocate all the other remaining branches.
It should be noted that dfcu’s relocation of its branches was communicated in a notice issued on January 31, 2020, which takes effect this February 3, 2020.
