The First Lady Janet Kaguta Museveni, Kampala mogul Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, Her Highness Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda were some of Very-Very Important People (VVIP) who attended the Kuhingira ( introduction) of Gen. Jim Muhwezi’s daughter, Samantha Barungi Muhwezi, held over the weekend.
Barungi and her betrothed Jasi Kassami, held magnificent giveaway ceremony in Kagunga, Nyakagyeme, Rukungiri district, where Maj Gen. Jim and Mrs Muhwezi hosted hundreds of guests.
Our Spy intimates that Samantha and Jasi (son of departed Treasury boss Chris Kasami), will in a week’s time host their guests to a lavish wedding reception at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.
Apart from the First Lady, tycoon Sudhir and the Nabagereka, other important guests included deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana, who was accompanied by one of his wives, Mrs Yogi Birigwa, Country Manager South African Airways, plus several other government officials.
