breaking into shops during the Coronavirus curfew hours.
The
suspects who include Abasa aka Duplicate, Sande Gerald and Nyenso Magisibo are
detained at CPS Kampala, after they were arrested by the Police Patrol Team as

It has also been established that one of them, Sande, was previously charged with robbery in court last year and remanded to Luzira although he was later released.
Investigations
are still ongoing and the trio will be arraigned before a court of law after
consulting with the state attorney on the charges to be preferred against them.
Meanwhile, the police had earlier on also arrested
six suspects for opening shops at Nasser Road in Kampala, yet their action was
defying the Presidential directives banning non-food business operations for 14
days.
Police
Spokesperson Patrick Onyango said that “We have learnt that the six were transported in lorry
box body up to Nasser Road alongside others who took off when they saw security
officers arriving.”
He
added that security got information about their defiance and immediately
dispatched to deal with them.
The
suspects include; Achileo Yisufu, Kizito Pascal, Byamusha William, Matovu Alex
, Engemu William and Kagoro Meddi.
They
are being charged under section 117 of the Penal Code Act and are currently detained
at CPS Kampala as investigations continue.
