Kampala: Last week, Electoral Commission unveiled the presidential aspirant and Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine’s academic credentials to city lawyer Hassan Male Mabirizi Kiwanuka, that have since gone viral on all social media platforms.

In a tit-for-tat move, Senior city lawyer Loyce Apia has also petitioned the High Court of Uganda seeking orders compelling the Electoral Commission to avail her with all the academic papers of President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta, who is also aspiring presidential candidate in the forthcoming general elections on NRM ticket.
According to our sources, Hon.Member of Parliament for Mukono Municipality Betty Nambooze Bakireke, also spent the better part of last night organizing a petition she wants to present to parliament to be availed with the academic credentials of all the government bigwigs,President Museveni inclusive, in a bid to confirm whether all the years he has been ruling Uganda was a qualified president and also confirm whether he is fit to participate in the forthcoming general elections.
Back to lawyer lawyer Apia; This means that if the petitioner succeeds in having court force the Electoral Commission to avail Museveni’s academic papers as it did to Mabirizi, it could help to settle the over three decade long debate on his actual age and level of education.
Spy Uganda has also independently learnt that the High Court is likely to hear and determine Loyce’s petition next week.
These come after lawyer Male Mabirizi vowed to drag Presidential hopeful Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to court for allegedly providing wrong information concerning his age yet he is yearning for a bigger state seat that requires transparency.

Mabirizi through a press statement said, according to Kyagulanyi’s Diploma Academic Transcript from Makerere University shows his date of birth as February 12,1980 but not 1982 as he claims.
Mabirizi said, steps are underway to retrieve several other documents signed by Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert from Makerere University, National Identification & Registration Authority (NIRA) where he applied for a National Identity Card, Parliament where he signed the Bio data form, Passport Office where he applied for Passport and other government offices where he was allegedly dishonest with his age.
Mabirizi further noted that the only way he can block Bobi wine’s nomination is through arranging evidence that can convict him or any offense involving dishonesty before the election day.
