Lira: The Lango paramount chief the Won Nyaci Yosam Odur Ebii has been airlifted in a military chopper to Mulago National Referral Hospital from Lira University Teaching Hospital, for extensive treatment over persistent hiccups.

Lango Cultural Foundation’s Prime Minister, Eng Robert James Ajal, confirmed in a phone interview on Sunday afternoon.

“He’s stable. He’s properly-being managed and we hope soon he will be fine because the situation is not so alarming,” Ajal confirmed to this website.

The Premier added that Won Nyaci has been suffering from heartburn and was admitted to Lira University Teaching Hospital on Saturday before being transferred to Mulago.

“He was admitted at Lira University Hospital yesterday and by 4am today, he had stabilised but we decided he should be taken to Mulago for better management,’ he said.

The development comes days after the leader surprised a couple of his subjects in Lango sub-region when he suspended all his ministers for unknown reasons.
