Ugandan Football Boosted As FUFA Executive Kicks Off Five More Competitions

Kampala: The FUFA Executive has authorized the kickoff of the FUFA 2nd Division League (StarTimes FUFA Big League), FUFA Women Super League, FUFA Women Elite League, the Stanbic Uganda Cup, and The FUFA Drum.

The communication is in circular No. 1128 dated, FUFA/C/01/21 and signed off by the FUFA Deputy CEO- Football Kiiza Decolas Hantali.

The circular reads;

In compliance with the Government of Uganda directives and guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic, the CAF & FIFA COVID-19 protocols, and the FUFA COVID-19 Regulations, FUFA will issue comprehensive guidelines to be adhered to by the respective competitions entities to safeguard the health of all the stakeholders involved.

The FUFA Competitions Directorate and the FUFA Drum Committee will soon release the schedule of events and formats to be followed during the respective Competitions.

FUFA wishes to call upon all stakeholders to understand the sporting spirit behind the delayed kick-off of these competitions and appreciate any format changes that may be suggested in this regard.

Meanwhile, the FUFA Executive will guide on other competitions as the Covid 19 situation improves.
