M7 To Cranes players: Avoid Womanizing, Alcohol & Smoking

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday evening met the Uganda Cranes team led by skipper Dennis Onyango and FUFA officials led by Moses Magogo. He congratulated the team for beating Cape Verde last Saturday and qualifying for AFCON 2019.

He also promised more government support to sports including building and refurbishing of stadia in the near future.

He urged the team to ensure it wins its final game against Tanzania, even when they have already qualified.

“According to my footballing experience, I know that the following ingredients are important for the game; stamina, skill and teamwork. Stamina is critical because you do a lot of running,” he said.

He advised them to eat well, exercise and avoid alcohol, smoking and womanizing.

President promised that Government of Uganda was going to construct more training centres and stadia. He also warned that he was going to fight corruption in sports.
