FDC Unveils Lord Mayor Lukwago As New Deputy President Replacing Ssebugwawo

Kampala: City Lord Mayor, Ssalongo Erias Lukwago has been announced this evening as the new Deputy President for his party Forum For Democratic Change (FDC).

The announcement means that Lukwago has replaced the former Lubaga Divison Mayor, Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo the current Minister of State-designate for Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance.

Sebugwawo who has been a strong FDC stalwart for the last 20 years was appointed by HE. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in his 2021-2026 cabinet, an appointment which she joyfully embraced saying her effort in opposition was never recognized neither valued.

“Those who want me to turn down Museveni’s appointment where were they when Hon. Kyagulanyi fronted a candidate against me in the last elections? How come they didn’t call Kyagulanyi to order? is that how they had to pay me for my selfless service to Lubaga, Buganda and Uganda at large?” Sebugwawo was quoted saying soon after being appointed.

Meanwhile, the party has also revealed that Hassan Kaps Fungaroo has replaced Ingrid Turinawe as National Mobilization Secretary of the party.

Also, Soroti MP Anne Adeke Ebaju has replaced Hon Kevin Taaka as the Deputy President in charge of the Eastern Region.
