The ‘brave’ man seen in the viral video vending nsenene in the Uganda Airlines’ bombardier has been identified as Mubiru Paul.
This has been revealed via a letter he has inked apologizing for ‘watering down’ national carrier’s reputation.
“Reference to the above subject.
My name is Mubiru Paul a 27 year old Ugandan who appears in the viral video circulating on social media where I appear to be vending grasshoppers aboard Uganda Airline flight UR 446 to Dubai on Friday 26th November 2021,” Mubiru’s letter partially reads.
Mubiru further clarifies that he recorded the video in question not to tarnish or ashame the Airline, the country or the passengers on board but for comedy purposes.
Mubiru writes, “Am sorry to the fellow countrymen and women, the staff of Uganda Airline, passengers and everyone hurt by the act on board. I recorded that video in question not to tarnish or ashame the Airline, the country or the passengers on board but for comedy purposes specifically Tiktok deeds. What appears as vending in the video was all for comical purposes but never for transactional gains.”
“I continue to send in my apology and I authorize you to make my apology public so that the other parties affected can also forgive me. Attached is my passport as proof and also a recorded video of my apology,” he adds.
Meanwhile, the Airline has since condemned the act but promised to add nsenene on its menu due to passengers’ demand.
