Mbarara Hit URA As Vipers, Boma Progress To Round Of 16

Uganda Cup holders Vipers, Mbarara City and Booma are the latest clubs to advance for the round of 16 stage.

Vipers defeated Kalongo United 3-1 at the Kalongo Technical Institute playground.

Milton Karisa, Najib Yiga and Yunus Junior Sentamu scored for Vipers as Bosco Okot got the consolation for Kalongo United.

At the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara City, the fans endured pressure and drama witnessing a 11-10 post match penalty victory for Mbarara City as they eliminated three time winners Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).

Normal time had ended all square with 1-goal apiece per side.

URA goalkeeper James Alitho was the villain with his kick missed.

Boma progressed to the last 16 stage with a 1-0 home win over visiting Kajjansi United.

The remaining two fixtures will have the dates fixed by the FUFA Competitions department.

Super Eagles versus Sports Club Villa face off in Gulu at the round of 64. The winner for the Super Eagles/SC Villa tie will face Express at the round of 16 stage. (Zolpidem online)
