Kenya’s sensational media guru based in Uganda Jackie Lumbasi a.k.a Nake and the most ‘stupid’ man on air Jimmy Okoth a.k.a Oulanyah Kolumbus have quit 91.3 Capital FM’s Morning show, The BigBreak Fast, our spy can confirm! Capital Radio,Uganda’s biggest national radio station is not only known for its Fresh hits for Kampala but also commands the biggest niche in the market when it comes to radio business.
Jackie has been co-hosting The Big Breakfast Show with Marcus Kwikiriza with their clown Jimmy Okoth a.k.a Oulanyah Columbas but Marcus had just resigned a few months ago leaving it in the hands of Lumbasi. Lumbasi is very much known for her deep strong and husky voice and was mentioned among the highest paid radio presenters in Uganda. The big breakfast show on capital FM is one of the most liked and listened to morning programs in Uganda.
Lumbasi told listeners today morning during the show, to buckle up since the duo were leaving the station soon. “I couldn’t wait to share this news with you……on Friday 9th Feb 2018, Oulanyah and I do our last #BigBreakfast show. This has been an incredible journey, thank you for allowing us into your space every single morning. Oulanyah will be joining another show as I embark on something else off air. We have become one big family and I hope we will carry that on. Wish you a fantastic time and God’s abundant blessings”, Jackie wrote on the bigbreakfast facebook page today.
Jackie is still tight lipped on her next destination after Capital Radio though other sources suggest she might remain at the Kisementi based radio but in another capacity, not on air. “Jackie is just taking abreak on air but she is still around”, a source said.
Jackie Lumbas born Jackline Nake is a Kenyan by descent but has worked with a number of Ugandan media houses, including Power FM and Government owned UBC TV.
At Capital FM, she started working in 2006 hosting the morning show with Allan Kasujja (now at BBC) and their clown was Ramesh Gabalsing, who is also still at Capital FM but in a different role.
For his part, Jimmy Okoth alias Oulanyah, also a remarkable media figure has been working with the station for the second time as he had worked there before presenting the morning show with Gaeteno Kaggwa and Karitas Karisimbi.
