Sheema, Uganda: Hon. Jacklet Atuhaire Rwabukurukuru, the Sheema District Woman Member of Parliament, has revealed that schools in the district are in a very terrible condition.
Hon. Atuhaire revealed this on Sunday January 27th, 2019 at Kabutsye Bataka playground in Masheruka Town council, Sheema district, where said that some of the schools she visited when she was delivering computers were in a poor state. She said that “Some schools still use papyrus mats to sit on, other do not have enough buildings for classrooms.” Atuhaire however added that she took it upon herself to struggle for the development of Sheema and asked parents to always pack food for their children when sending them to school. She promised to improve sports in Sheema district with an aim of selecting a district team and they register to start playing in Uganda big league. She donated soccer boots to Masheruka town council football team, which won Jacklet Cup on January 20th, this year. Hon. Naome Kibaaju, legislator Sheema North constituency, thanked Hon. Atuhaire for the uniting spirit she is cultivating in Sheema district and vowed to work with her and support her in every activity aimed at helping Sheema people.
