The good news landing in from Entebbe indicates that Uganda’s mighty flag carrier has secured landing rights in China, a dream many have been praying for.
With this approval, Ugandans especially traders will be swiftly flying directly to global market (China) on their own flag carrier rather than the previous way of first flying to Dubai then to China.

Earlier this year, Airlines Ag.CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki said the key focus areas for the national carrier in 2022 include “investing in customer retention systems, seeking strategic partnerships, growing our cargo operations and network expansion.”
According to the airline’s business plan, in the 2nd year of operation, the national carrier had planned to have 18 and four (4) regional and international routes respectively, but this couldn’t be possible due to COVID-19 effects.
Some of Uganda Airlines’ operational routes include Nairobi, Mombasa, Dubai, Kinshasa, Johannesburg, Juba, Dar es Salaam Mogadishu and Bujumbura.
