United States Of America: Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament and People Power pressure group leader, has finally declared his 2021 presidential bid.
Word has been going around for some time now that Bobi Wine, the self-claimed Ghetto President, is nursing ambitions of contesting for presidency in 2021 but he often denied. However, the singer turned politician declared his intentions to contest against President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 presidential elections yesterday during an interview on CNN with Christian Amanpour and Robyn Curnow.
While talking to CNN’s principal political interviewers Curnow and Amanpour, Bobi Wine, who is on a tour of the Americas, said that he is seriously considering running for president . “Many people have been coming to me calling for me to stand and we have discussed it with my team, and we are seriously considering challenging President Museveni in the polls.” Bobi Wine said. Bobi Wine further told Christian Amanpour that he and his team have planned a winning strategy to have many Ugandans register to vote, so that the ‘nationwide desire for change from Museveni’s regime’ will not be defeated by a lack of enough registered voters as has been the case in previous elections.”
