In its new innovation of making a graduation ceremony not a boring but a memorable and joyful event, Victoria University has released a hot list of artists, media personalities and comedians ready to ‘level up’ this years graduation ceremony dubbed VU Grad Festival to be held at luxurious Speke Resort Munyonyo on 3rd September 2022 [tomorrow].
According to the program already in the hands of this writer, the event will kick off at 1pm till late.
The program also reveals that at 7pm, VU Grad Festival and after party will kick off attracting East Africa’s top stars on the stage to entertain the guests to the fullest.
Some of the entertainers on the list include; Rwanda’s The Ben, Ykee Benda, King Saha, Spice Diana, Liam Voice, The Baninas, Khalifah Aganaga, Levixone…i mean, the list is endless…

The comedians’ list includes; Madrat and Chiko duo, Comedian Patrick Idringi aka Salvador with NBS TV’s Viana Indi as the Mc of the event.
Am sure you’re now wondering about entrance, according to VU, the Grad Festival is open to the public to attend and the entrance fee is only UGX50,000 for public while students, whether from Victoria University or other institutions as long as they present Identity Cards, will only pay UGX20,000. Tickets are sold at Victoria University Main Campus in Kampala along Jinja Road.
Talking to Spy Uganda recently, Victoria University’s innovative Vice Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga noted that they came up with the VU Grad Festival after students asked the University management to change the culture of graduations; from a boring event to something enjoyable.
