British Royal Princess Anne paid tribute to The Queen last night during a dinner at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Uganda.
Anne, Princess Royal is a member of the British royal family. She is the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and the only sister of King Charles III. Anne is 16th in the line of succession to the British throne and has been Princess Royal since 1987.
The Princess Royal, 72, is currently visiting the African nation with husband Sir Tim Laurence, 67, as part of their first royal tour since The Queen passed away at the age of 96 on 8 September.
The Queen’s only daughter Anne, hosted a dinner for Yoweri K Museveni – the President of the Republic of Uganda – and his daughter Natasha at the state residence in Kampala.
Sharing photos from the royal dinner, the President Museveni said he ‘wishes good luck’ on the rest of Princess Anne’s tour.
Museveni on twitter wrote: ”I was hosted to a dinner by Her Royal Highness, Princess Royal and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence at the British High Commissioner’s residence in Kampala.
”We talked about the different patronages she has come to support here. I welcome her and wish her good luck.”

During the couple’s visit, Anne opened the first commercial bank in the Nakivale Refugee settlement in her role as patron of Opportunity International.
Before their return to the UK on Friday, Princess Anne and Sir Tim will conclude their tour by watching female students complete the ‘Safe Way, Right Way’ HGV truck driver training programme as part of her work with Transaid.
In a statement after her mother’s death, Princess Anne revealed she was by the Queen’s side in her final 24 hours.
In a statement shortly after Her Majesty passed away, the Princess said it had been ‘an honour and a privilege’ to accompany the Queen on her final journey as she travelled with the monarch’s coffin back to London.
