Uganda’s youngest female rapper Faith Nanyanzi aka Felista Di Superstar is in celebrations after finishing her studies at Uganda’s leading private school-Kampala Parent Schools (KPS).
Felister who joined KPS in 2020 in Primary five couldn’t hold the joy of concluding the primary seven exams that were done country-wide at all schools.
Talking about her education journey at KPS, Felista said it has been smooth and appreciated the school proprietors specifically Rajiv Ruparelia (one of the school directors) for giving her a scholarship that has enabled her to concentrate on her books without the stress of school fees.
She also appreciated her teachers whom she said nurtured her very well and hopes to get nothing else but a pure first grade.
“Thank you the teachers for teaching me to this final day that I have sat my exams and I expect to pass with flying colors,” she said.
How Felista Joined KPS?
As already mentioned above, the younger rapper joined KPS in 2020 following fellow rapper Fresh Kid who also joined the school on scholarship.
Felista acquired this scholarship after staging a stunning performance during the Ruparelia Foundation Christmas party for underprivileged children, which impressed the crowd including Rajiv, who is also one of the directors of KPS.
The scholarship was to push her until she finished Primary Seven.
While welcoming Felista to the school in February 2020, Rajiv Ruparelia thanked KPS founder, Dr Sudir Ruparalia and other trustees for supporting, discovering, promoting, and nurturing young talent.
“Education is not about learning in the books, education is about learning about life skills that will help you when you are old. We shall ensure you learn how to avail your discipline, learn how to be confident and we shall make sure that all we offer to you will help grow your music career,” he said. (Valium)
Then, Rajiv advised Felista’s parents to save the school fees they’d been paying to the rapper’s former school such that it helps them to pay for her secondary school fees.
