Controversial Yoweri Museveni’s son Muhoozi Kainerugaba has claimed that he believes in Jesus Christ and his father not ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Muhoozi rubbished NRM, saying it’s a mere reactionary organization in Uganda.

“I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in my father, General @KagutaMuseveni. I certainly do not believe in NRM. In Marxist terms, it is probably the most reactionary organisation in the country,” Muhoozi said in a tweet.

President Museveni founded NRM in 1986.

It waged a guerrilla war on the then sitting president through its rebel wing National Resistance Army (NRA), which toppled the government in 1986.

Muhoozi Warming Up For Father’s Seat

In a series of tweets, the Uganda full military General claimed that the only way to thank his mother was by becoming the president of Uganda after his father retired.

“The only way I can thank my beautiful mother is to become president of Uganda. And I certainly will,” he said in a tweet.

Museveni recently promoted Muhoozi to full General, stripping off his command over the country’s land forces in October.
