Uganda’s media conglomerate Next Media Group, which owns NBS Television has announced over 50 job opportunities under different departments.
The media group which recently laid off over 30 staff due to their digital incompetence has since moved into realigning and restructuring its media stations including Televisions and radio.
Now, in the announcement tweeted by Next Media CEO, Kin Kariisa, the media group is looking for new staff who must be ‘digitally fit’.
”Digital transformation can no longer be a ‘cool’ phrase we throw about. Because of the unprecedented times of change we operate in, ACTION is the only way forward. We have had to restructure Next Media, resulting in up to 50 new opportunities! Join us! #NextMediaCareers,” announced Kariisa via his Twitter handle.
Below is the list of new jobs at Next Media Group.
- Head of Creative
- Online Data Analyst
- Online sub editors (5 people needed to edit current affairs, sports, entertainment, & lifestyle)
- Lead content curator – Digital
- Lead web and platform developer
- Search engine marketer
- Digital journalists (15 people needed)
- Platform managers (10 people needed).
- Community managers (15 people needed)
”Interested applicants are requested to send their application letters and CVs to the Chief People Officer to recruit@nextmedia.co.ug. Submission deadline is Friday, 16th December 2022 at 5pm ,” reads the announcement.
Next Media group is the holding company of NBS TV, Nile Post, Sanyuka TV, Salam TV, Next Communications Uganda, Next Radio, Next Production, Afromobile Uganda, Hillcom East Africa, NBSport TV and Sanyuka Prime.
