It’s a sad moment for the media fraternity which is engulfed by the untimely death of NTV Uganda reporter Edward Muhumuza who perished in a deadly car accident.
In a statement issued by Uganda Police Traffic Directorate Spokesperson Faridah Nampiima, the accident occurred at around 0820hrs at Mpala opposite Mpala Road Toll along Kampala-Entebbe express highway.
”The accident involved motor vehicle reg No. UBG 323S Passo that was being driven by a one Muhumuza Edward, a Journalist working with NTV Uganda,” said Nampiima adding that Muhumza lost control of his vehicle and went off the a road, knocked sign post and overturned several times, killing him on spot.

The Entebbe Express Highway intervention team and Entebbe Police responded immediately at the scene, but it was too late to save Edward Muhumuza who was already lifeless.
”The cause of the accident has been attributed to over speeding. However, more Inquiries are still at hand,” said Nampiima.
Meanwhile, Muhumuza’s body has been conveyed to City Mortuary for postmortem examination. RIP!
