Jacklet urged the congregation to join hands and make the construction project a success because its a blessing from God.

Quoting from the Holly book, the lawmaker said, there was biblical reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem by Nehemiah to demonstrate the connection between the church and the will of the people to build the dwelling of God.

Hon Jacklet addressing the congregation

“I have never found a loss in helping the needy, ever since I started serving God voluntarily, giving my humble contributions to construction of churches, helping the poor, and giving servants of God, it’s indeed a blessing. All I know is that the hands that give, are the hands that receive, the more I give and serve God, is the more I get back.

“Things of God are double double, you give 50k, you get 100k. Therefore I request you to start serving the Almighty and thanking Him always for whatever He gives us,” Jacklet said.

The legislator further recognised the role churches play in molding the society and creating harmony and peace among believers.

“I can’t thank our religious leaders enough because they have worked tirelessly to keep us peaceful, I request you believers to look after our religious leaders where necessary, don’t listen to pagans because we should know that these are our leaders who mediate us with our Father in Heaven. You should know that church is a source of unity as founded on God’s covenant and steadfast love (Jeremiah 1:5),” Jacklet Quoted.

She also encouraged the congregation to embrace the building of structures in Kabwohe for both Ankore Western University (AWU) and Central Ankore Diocese (CAD) saying that it is the only way they can prepare for a bigger Sheema as envisioned by their forefathers who first applied for the diocese and university.

Hon. Jacklet gave Shs. 2.850.000 Million towards the construction. She bought a bull at Shs.1.350.000 Million and 50 bags of cement valued at Shs. 1.5 Million.
