Derrick Kakooza the Hattrick hero brilliantly shined in a 4-1 victory that sent the Hippos to the finals of the ongoing AFCON U-20 in Mauritania.

Kakooza netted in the 36th, 50th and completed his sensational treble in the 69th minute. However, Richard Basangwa had scored the opener in the 4th minute. Meanwhile, Adam Benlamine slotted home the consolation for the North African side.

The Police FC lethal striker now leads the tournament’s top scorers’ chart with five goals.
This is Uganda’s debut in the AFCON U-20 tournament and history has already been made. The fine Performance by Morley Byekwaso’s boys has attracted many Ugandans branding his boys as the only hope for Ugandan football and a bright future of Ugandan football.

The Hippos will face off with Ghana who beat Gambia 1-0 in the first semi-final in the grand finale of the tournament on Saturday.
