AFCON U-17: Uganda Cubs Final Squad Unveiled Ahead Of Morroco Tournament

Uganda U-17 National Team of 25 players which were named by head Coach Hamza Lutalo will today set off to Morroco where the tournament will be held from 13th-31 March. The squad will board the Ethiopian Airways at 3:00pm.

Uganda succeded in group A in the draws held on Wednesday where they will play against the host’s Morocco, Ivory Coast and Zambia.

Below is the full final list of the 25 man team selected by coach Lutalo.

Meanwhile, FUFA Executive Committee Member Agnes Mugena will lead the delegation for the period the team will camp in Morocco before they get into the CAF designated facilities as Rogers Byamukama-another Executive Member will take over the roles of leader of the delegation when the tournament kicks off.

Uganda Curbs qualified for the AFCON finals in Morroco after becoming the Champions of Cecafa in the zonal qualifiers that were held in Rwanda.

According to coach Lutalo after the draws, the team is ready to face any challenger.

“We are ready to face the teams that are in our group. As the technical team, we are preparing the boys to face any kind of opposition because our target is to advance past the group stage,” he started.

This is the second time the Uganda Cubs will be taking part in the tournament for having played in the 2018 edition.
