Akon, 12 Other American Celebs To Entertain Guests At President Museveni’s Swearing-In Ceremony

Kampala: Renowned American singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur Aliaune Damala Badara Akon is among the foreign guests who have confirmed their attendance at H.E YK Museveni’s inauguration on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, Kampala.

The pop star returns to Uganda after just a month since he visited on President Museveni’s invitation to invest in the country with his popular ‘Akon City’.

 

 

According to the office of the Presidential advisor on diaspora issues, it’s an interesting notch that the ‘No Body’ crooner will be coming along with other star-stubbed names in the American Sports and entertainment fraternity.

The Office of the Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora H.E Ambassador Hajj Abbey Walusimbi is part of the team that will receive the delegates upon arrival from Entebbe International Airport, Hotel and Kololo Inauguration Ground.

Some of the names revealed include; actress Porsha Dyanne Williams, former NFL Players Israel Idonije, Andre Lamont Johnson, David Young, among others.

“Expected are 12 American celebrities, former NFL Players, and some cast members of the Real Housewives of Atlanta,” a liable source disclosed.

Akon and his envoy are expected to touch down at Entebbe International Airport on Tuesday night or Wednesday early morning.
