Kampala: Just over 48 hours after he was named interim Uganda Cranes head coach, Abdallah Mubiru has kicked off his duties, the Police FC head coach on Friday, July 12th, summoned a 30 man squad that is to start preparations for the upcoming CHAN 2020 qualifier.
Uganda is slated to face Somalia in the first leg of the first round of qualification, on Saturday, 26th July 2017, in Mogadishu the Squad that Mubiru summoned includes 5 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 12 midfielders and 4 strikers.
They will kick-start training on Sunday, May 14th, at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo where they will hold a session at 10am. The single session routine will continue through the following day (Monday), On Tuesday and Wednesday, the team will hold double sessions with one at 10am and the other at 4pm.
The team will then hold a morning session on Thursday, 18th July, before entering residential camp in the evening they will then travel for Hoima the following day. While in Hoima, they will play a Regional tour game with Kitara Region on Saturday before returning to Kampala on Sunday upon returning to Kampala, they will step-up preparations for the game against Somalia, on the 26th of July.
