Army Officers Perish After UPDF Chopper Crashes In Gomba

Two military officers have died  after a chopper they were training in crashed in Gomba district Tuesday afternoon.


It is not yet clear what caused the  crash but  investigations led by a team UPDF, Uganda Peoples Defence Air Force and the police  are going on.

While announcing the tragic news, UPDF  Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Richard Karemire,  posted on their social media platforms thus; “We regret to inform that a UPDAF Jet  Ranger AF 302 on a training mission has crashed in Gomba. It had two crew members.

Sadly, no one is reported to have survived. Investigation into the cause has commenced. We offer our condolences to the family members and entire UPDF fraternity” May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.
