Hoima Chief Magistrates Court has charged & remanded three members of the Hoima City Service Commission who were arrested by the State House Anti Corruption Unit.

The officials are; Amir Nsamo chairperson and two commissioners; Bategeka Donald & Bigabwaa Ibrahim who are now battling charges of forgery & conspiracy to commit a felony.

In October 2022, Hoima City Service Commission advertised jobs & the recruitment process commenced and the commission interviewed & scored over 38 applicants. However, the accused demanded the candidates’ scoresheets and unlawfully altered results in favor of four applicants.

The above left concerned citizens unhappy thus reporting the unlawful acts of the commissioners to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit which dispatched a team to investigate the matter.

The Anti Corruption Unit says its team discovered that indeed the alterations had been made something that contravenes the Public Service Commission guidelines.
