Major General Dr. Lucky Kidega, the Camp Commandant General Headquarters has passed out 240 Non-Commissioned Officers who were undergoing the first Joint Cadre and Development Course at Oliver Reginald Tambo School of Leadership and Pan African Centre of Excellence, Kaweweta in Nakaseke District.
Maj Gen Dr Lucky Kidega who represented the Chief of Defence Forces, General Wilson Mbadi said that this joint course will improve the cooperation amongst the joint forces and called for the government’s continued support towards this kind of training which he said will benefit the forces and Uganda in general.
Maj Gen Kidega urged the NCOs to be highly disciplined, healthy and patriotic in all their actions so as to remain resourceful to the country. He remained them to be exemplary in their actions so as to inspire and encouraged them to embrace training opportunities.
The Commandant of the school, Colonel Justus Rukundo said that this training is the first of its kind because it attracted NCOs from the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces, Uganda Police Force, Uganda Prisons Service, Internal Security Organization and Uganda Wildlife Authority, with 30 of the trainees being female.
Col Rukundo, congratulated the trainees upon the completion of the course and exhibited high levels of discipline and resilience, and urged them to put into practice what they have learned and inspire others.
In attendance, there were; the Commandant Kaweweta Recruits Training School, Brig Gen Bonny Wolimbwa, Col Ibrahim Keddy and officers from different sister forces.
